Sugarhouse is one of Salt Lake’s oldest Suburbs. Located Southeast of Downton Salt Lake it was established in the mid 1800’s. The area originally housed the first state prison which was demolished in the mid 1900’s. The area in which the prison stood was then turned in what is now known as Sugarhouse Park. Providing 110 acres with a great pond, endless trails, pavilions (great for birthdays & barbecues) along with a nice little fine art gallery.
Sugarhouse is an area filled with quaint single-family homes built in the 1800’s to luxurious million-dollar mansions, all amongst beautiful tree lined streets.
With its excellent location it provides easy access to the freeways, trax, shopping, entertainment, restaurants and skiing. Everything you need is in your own backyard.
